Information on your kerbside
recycling and waste service
in Telford and Wrekin

The purple top bin is for cans and tins (including clean foil and aerosols), mixed plastics from the bathroom and kitchen (including yoghurt pots, butter and margarine tubs and other food packaging) and glass bottles and jars. Please do not put your recycling inside plastic bags; plastic bags cannot be recycled within this service. It can help you fit more in your purple top wheelie bin if you squash bottles and cans where possible. This is a fortnightly service.

The blue bag is for paper and cardboard., such as  newspaper, cardboard boxes, toilet roll inner tubes,  magazines, and envelopes. Please do not put your recycling into plastic bags; plastic bags cannot be recycled within this service. Please flatten cardboard boxes to maximise room in your blue bag. This is a fortnightly service.

The silver caddy is for  food waste - any food waste from your kitchen can go in it, as long as it isn't liquid or packaging.  Plate scrapings, egg shells, bones, bread and tea bags are just a few of the items that can be recycled in your food caddy. You should have two caddies, one larger one for presenting for collection, and a smaller one which is provided to help you collect and move waste from your kitchen, out to the larger caddy.  This is a weekly service. You can line your kitchen caddy with newspaper, kitchen towel or junk mail to keep the container tidy.

The green bin is for garden waste such as grass cuttings, hedge clippings, small branches and flowers. This is a fortnightly service.

The red top bin is for items that can't be recycled using the other kerbside containers, such as nappies, polystyrene, plastic film, used pet bedding, crisp packets and plastic bags. This is a fortnightly service.
