What to do with batteries, bulbs, textiles and electrical items

Please note that electrical items and batteries should not be put in any bin as they are a fire hazard.

Electrical items can be taken to the Household Recycling Centre or in a bulky waste collection.

Batteries can be collected at the kerbside if you put them in a clear container on top of the lid of the purple top bin. We also collect bulbs and small amounts of textiles in the same way, just put the types of item separately in a clear bag of container on top of the lid of the purple top bin.
