Win a World of Books!

Win a World of Books Competition

Win a book for every pupil in your school!

We’ll be celebrating World Book Day 2026 by giving away a world of pre-loved books to three winning schools! Because great stories deserve a second chapter.

How?

We’re inviting teams of pupils from local primary schools to come up with an idea to do something that increases or promotes / encourages reuse at your school.

It could be something simple, it could be cool, it could be wacky, but it must lead to more reuse at your school. For example, you could start a secondhand uniform shop, a place for parents to donate used books to the school library or a reused toy shop or SEN equipment or hobby reusable library.

Entries close on 31st December 2025, so it’s time to get those thinking caps on!

What’s the prize

The three best entries will win a free pre-loved book for every pupil in the school!

Finer details

  • The team could be pupil eco-committees, pupil school councillors, a class or other pupil groups.

  • Feasibility and Practicality: projects should have a plan including what items will be reused thanks to the project, how the project will be carried out, and what resources will be needed.
  • Inspiring others: will the project inspire other people to think about reuse and wasting less.
